October 8th, 2005 STEEL PLATE SHOOT

Unfortunately, we had a small turnout today, for our last match of the year, but the fun factor was high, despite the chilly  temps. For the last shoot, I thought I planned something that was simple but still making you think. I guess I was wrong on the simple part. Eventually everybody got the hang of it and we posted some pretty good scores. Frank Simmerer did some great shooting (for once) and came in first. Good going Frank.  Try and keep it up next summer. Kevin Morrison was doing pretty well until he did the same thing I did previously. Ran out of ammo before the last target. Bet  you won't let that happen again, will you  Kev?

Sorry about not having the El Presidente up and  running, but we didn't
have enough people show up to work it. Hopefully next  year we won't have that situation again.

Thanks to all those shooters that came out this  year to test their skills on our targets. I had a lot of fun designing the courses, because I can let my sadistic streak run wild. The next match,  will again, start the second Sat. in April. I will put a notice in the news  letter in March to remind everybody. See you then, and remember, keep that finger out of the trigger guard until you are ready to shoot, and don't shoot  the hostages.
