Women in the Outdoors

Reservations are now being accepted for another special "Women in the Outdoors" program to take place on Saturday, September 13, 2008.  The program is being hosted by WWSC and the National Wild Turkey Federation, and will be held on the club grounds.  For more information click this link: www.womenintheoutdoors.org

This will be an all day event featuring your multiple selections of activities.  Classes being offered this year include:

  • Outdoor Survival

  • Geocaching

  • Archery

  • Trailering

  • Turkey Hunting

  • Lake Fishing (Spin Casting)

  • Fly Fishing

  • Skeet and Trap Shooting

  • Pistol Shooting

  • Rifle Marksmanship

  • Outdoor Cooking

  • Muzzleloading

  • Dog Training

All instruction will be provided by seasoned Sportsmen and women to insure a safe positive learning experience for all who attend.

The program begins with registration at 8 AM and goes until 5:00 pm and will include a great luncheon and snacks, door prizes, raffles, silent auctions, and gifts, in addition to the activities listed above.

All necessary equipment will be provided for your use, but you are welcome to bring your own if you so choose. Plan now to attend and learn or refine your outdoor skills while enjoying a great day in the out of doors.

This year's event costs $45 per person (Students ages 14-18 = $30), which includes the following:

  1. Use of all equipment and Club facilities
  2. Four exciting classes with hands-on experience
  3. Excellent instructors and program materials
  4. Lunch and snacks
  5. 1-year subscription to the Women In The Outdoors magazine
  6. A one-year WITO membership in the N.W.T.F.
